Volunteering and Community Participation

There are many opportunities for parents, family members and people from the community to be involved at Clarendon Primary School.

Areas include but are not limited to:

Parents, friends and community members are also welcome to attend our assemblies, held on Wednesday afternoons from 2.30pm in Weeks 3, 6 & 9 in the Resource Centre.

All regular volunteers and helpers are required to have a current DCSI Criminal History Screening (available from the office) to assess their suitability for working with children and have completed Responding to Abuse & Neglect (RAN) Training (provided through the school at times). All volunteers and helpers are required to sign in on arrival, wear a visitors badge and have undertaken and Work Health and Safety induction prior to commencing their volunteering.

Information about volunteering and application forms for DCSI criminal history / working with children checks can be obtained from the office and costs associated will be covered by the school for regular volunteers.

Pleas note that all volunteers are bound to comply with all local site requirements and policies and are also bound to comply with the DECD Volunteers in Schools Policy (see link below).
